Do you already have your T-CAT card and the PIN and PUK codes? If your service manager has given you the card and you've already received the PIN and PUK codes in the mail, now is the time to start using it. Learn how to set it up!

Step 1. Check compatibility

The T-CAT works with the main operating systems and browsers on the market. We recommend you consult the compatibility information to ensure proper operation.

[ see compatibility tables ]

Step 2. Install the public keys

Necessary to verify with browsers that the certificates have been issued by a trusted certification authority.

Step 3. Install the software

Prior to installing the software, if you do not already have a cryptographic card reader , the following are the basic features for the reader to be compatible with T-CAT: PC/SC 1.0 compliant and to supply a current of at least 60 mA. (The AOC Consortium does NOT supply the readers, users must request the readers from their computer suppliers.)

Next, install the Safesign software on your computer to be able to use the T-CAT , according to the operating system you have installed on your machine (you must first uninstall the old versions)

Safesign for Microsoft Windows

Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 (32-bit) 3.0.124
Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 (64-bit) 3.0.124

Safesign for Linux

Linux Debian 32 bit
Linux Debian 64 bitS
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Safesign for MAC

MAC OS

Important note: In the case of having the software for the use of the electronic DNI on the computer where the Safesign will be installed, it is necessary to verify that the installed version of this software (e-DNI), is the last one available. Otherwise, the correct operation of Safesign could be affected.

Step 4. Check the T-CAT

Once the software required to use the T-CAT has been installed, insert the card into the reader and test its use.
