The AOC Consortium sends two e-mails warning of the expiry of the certificates, one to the holder and the other to the head of the body's service that existed at the time of issuing the specific T-CAT certificate. These emails are sent 60 days before the certificate expires and if it has not yet been renewed with the same information after 30 days, a new notice is sent.
When the first of these emails is received, the certificate is already in the renewal period and, therefore, a new one can be requested through EACAT , whenever possible.
Steps to follow:
1. Access the EACAT specifically in Procedures>AOC Consortium>Digital Certification Service> T-CAT: only. and renew certificate personal
2. In the "Initial information " tab, choose the certificate to be renewed and then "Save draft"
3. In the "Request data" tab, you can write the data of the certificate to be renewed yourself (the tool will detect the certificate automatically), or you can search for the certificate with the certificate magnifying glass .
If you select the magnifying glass option, the following screen will open:
Fill in the following data:
- "Name" or "NIF/NIE" of the certificate to be renewed.
- The status of the certificate, which in our case is "Valid" by default, given that if it is expired or revoked it cannot be renewed.
- Select the "Type of certificate"
Click on "Search"
Once the certificate appears select it and click "Select" to continue.
Important : Check that the data is correct, since once the request has been processed and the T-CAT delivered, if the data on the certificate is incorrect it will have to be revoked.

Note: Both the old and the new certificate will coexist with full functionality until the previous one expires. Therefore, it is advisable to renew certificates as soon as the last 60 days of their life begin.
The revocation is an irreversible state and means definitively invalidating a digital certificate. See the FAQ How to revoke my T-CAT?
The revocation of a certificate can be requested by:

- Inclusion in the list of prohibited subscribers (eg inclusion of a subscriber in the list of prohibited subscribers).
- others
